WELCOME TO OUR NURSERY

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the nursery at Auburn Sovereign Grace Fellowship. We are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for your little one so that you are able to enjoy your time of worship with us. Our nursery is staffed with caring adult volunteers as well as teen helpers who are qualified for nursery care.

For your child’s safety we have a “pin” system for Check-In and Check-Out. Each time you bring your child to the nursery you will sign in and your child will be assigned a number that will be attached to their clothing. A second number will be pinned to their diaper bag and a third number pin will be given to you. Please take care not to lose your pin – attach it to your own clothing or your purse or Bible so that’s it’s handy when you pick your child up. This may seem rather involved for a church of our size, but since we anticipate that the Lord is going to bless our church with growth, we want to be organized from the beginning so we’re not scrambling later as more and more little ones are in our care.

In order to provide the best care possible for your child, we ask for your help with the following items:

  •   Please label diaper bag with either baby’s first name or your last name. Many diaper bags look alike, so this would be a great help to our volunteers.
  •   If your baby will take a bottle, pacifier or cup, please make sure to include them in your child’s diaper bag. Young toddlers don’t understand why other children have a cup or bottle and they don’t. Please make sure all cups or bottles are labeled with your child’s name. If you forget to label your child’s cup or bottle, we will use a Sharpie to label it. We will always have healthy cookies or crackers in our nursery and will only give them to your child if you check the “Snacks OK” box on the check-in sheet. We ask that you not send in food for your child as it causes other little ones to be upset and may lead to another child eating something they are allergic to.
  •   If your baby has cold symptoms such as a cough or runny nose, we ask that you keep your baby with you in the service or arrange care at home. If your baby has a persistent clear runny nose, either due to allergies or lingering from a previous cold, please let the nursery volunteers know and we will gladly welcome your child. (Please use your best judgment as to whether or not your child may be contagious, so that we all work together to keep our children healthy.)

Again, we welcome you to Auburn Sovereign Grace Fellowship and look forward to getting to know you as we provide care for your child during services.

In His Service,

Nursery Volunteers
